Opened in 2021, this 11-acre park is dedicated to the preservation of the Highland Lakes ecosystem. Visitors can walk a half-mile crushed granite loop trail that passes through eight ecological zones, including tallgrass prairie, Ashe juniper thickets, and granite outcroppings. The park features an observation deck, a bird blind, and an analemmatic sundial. Operated by the nonprofit HSB Park, Inc., the site is recognized as a Texan by Nature Certified project.
Yes, dogs are welcome. They must be kept on a leash and on marked trails at all times to protect sensitive vegetation and wildlife. Pet waste stations are provided.
Visiting the park is free and everyone is welcome. Visitor donations support the park and ongoing conservation projects.
No, trails are for pedestrians only. Bicycles, golf carts, four wheelers, and horses are not permitted on the trails. You may park and lock bicycles at the racks in the parking area.
